How to become a Christian...
**Every person is flawed.. born into sin. We, on our own, can not meet God's requirements.**

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

**We are all imperfect.. and we don't have to fix ourselves before turning to God.**

"God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

God wants to save us INSPITE of ourselves.. simply because He LOVES YOU.. and ME!!

"He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy." Titus 3:5

Salvation is God's free gift to us. Nothing that we can do will earn this gift for us.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

In order to pay for God's gift of salvation, God had to send His son, Jesus, to die for us.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

After Jesus paid for our gift of salvation on the cross, Christ rose from the dead three days later. To accept the gift of salvation, we must confess with our mouth that we believe in our hearts that Jesus is our Lord (supreme authority and controller of our lives).

"If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10

Once we have confessed with our mouths and believe in our hearts, God gives us LIFE EVERLASTING.

"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

Salvation is not just a one stop shop.  It is not just about proclaiming the words of God or accepting a behavioral change in your life.  Accepting Christ into your heart and life is a branding process.  God never promised us that everything would be daisys.  In fact, he said that there would be trials and tribulations.

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;" James 1:2

Even the apostle Paul struggled throughout his Christian walk.

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."  Philippians 3:14

Are you ready to accept the gift of eternal life that Jesus is offering you right now?

God I have come to the understanding that my wrong-doings have placed your Son, the only perfect man to walk the earth, on a tree.  I understand that he bore my burden on that cross and took the payment of death so that I would not have to endure the pains of death.  I repent toward you because it is against you I have sinned.  I ask you, Father, to become the Saviour and Lord of my life.

Are you wondering what to do now?

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.  Hebrews 10:25

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is. Psalm 63:1
